The Project consisted of installing 76.5 MIGD (MSF) + 60 IGD (RO) desalination plant in SOHAR Economic Zone 3 (QEZ3) with a Power plant and common facilities needed for this plant. Civil & Building works related to 3 units of MSF Plant (3 units X 25.3 MIGD) in the desalination plant were under AL RUWI AL TASNEEM LLC Company. AL RAWABI Company did the works at 2 more units as a variation to the contract.

• Evaporator Foundations
• Large Pump (BRP, BDP) Pit
• Discharge Pits, Distillate Pit, Drain Pits & Seal Pits
• Cable Trench
• Brine Heater Foundations
• Condensate pit & Pipe Rack Foundations
• Paving Works in line with pipe trenches

Project Features:

75,000 m³ of Imported Backfill, 33,000 m³ of Concrete, 2,900 Tons of Steel, 55 Tons of Structural Steel, 2,850 m² of Epoxy Paint, 800m of GRE Pipe Work

Bitumen asphalt, crumb rubber asphalt and polymer-modified asphalt (“superpave”) are laid with laser-guided paving techniques. Projects include all road marking, street lighting, traffic signals, road signs and related roadside furniture, as well as hard- and soft- landscaping, stone paving and irrigation systems.

Traffic management is afforded utmost priority during entire project execution, to minimize disruption to the public.
